Food, Festivities and Shopping in Khiva

Food is always interesting!  Here is lunch.
Nibblies:

Bread:
Meals always began with three salads.  There was usually a beetroot salad and an eggplant salad.  This was no exception.
And the main course.
There was dancing in the streets

and always a wedding somewhere, with lots of bling.
Puppets for sale.
Headwear - lots for you here Rob.
My favourite.  Didn't buy it in case it woke up.

At night, we went to Kibla Tozabog for dinner.  This was the summer palace of the Khiva Khans. The entrees and desserts were on the table (good idea!)
There was dancing.
And a fine young man.  Wonder what headgear he wore when it got really cold?
And the whole ensemble.
