Dublin to Killarney

Early breakfast and departure.  Just to prove we are in Ireland, here is a road sign:

A picture from the bus.  Beautiful countryside, but not unique - sheep, cattle, green....

We saw the Rock of Cashel - a ruined monastery being restored- unfortunately I wasn't familiar with the history.

Then to Cork - pretty town and market.  Worth a return visit if we ever get back to Ireland

Then to Blarney Castle and stone.  We were too nervous to climb the dodgy steps to the stone, especially as they warned to be careful and they were preserving the original character of the castle rather than focusing on OH&S, or words to that effect.
These are some of the flowers and gardens.  Lovely to see Ireland in summer.

And tomorrow I am assured that we see Lough Leane but not Abbeyfeale.
