Arriving in Calcutta

Ah, India!  We are back. Immigration was a breeze, so our two trips to get our visas in Sydney were worth it.

The transport was there to pick us up and we saw Calcutta at night.   No cows to be seen and we were told that this was a Government directive. 

We saw buildings in disrepair, and pulled up outside one and were told "This is your hotel".  But as has happened to us before there was a gate to be gone through, and inside it was another world.  India never ceases to amaze!

Saved by the 2.5 hours time difference, we were in bed by midnight.  More pics later after our first day's sightseeing.
