As Kin Mun said, for a place so flat, there are lots of lookouts! 

The McLellan lookout.  Incidentally, have been unable to find a connection with our McLellans.

The Matthew Flinders lookout, on the other side of town, near the Arid Lands Botanic Gardens, showing the red cliffs.

And good use of an old water tower!  Kin Mun climbed to the top.

 

 

 

The Arid Lands Gardens were lovely, but too hot to take advantage of the walks

.

And plenty of Sturt's Desert Pea.  I remember Mum growing some.

And just some examples of the gums that are straight out of  a Hans Heysen painting.  They are spectacular. Kin Mun commented he likes the gentle greens and pinks of the landscape
