Art Gallery etc - and Eclipse Tour begins...

This morning we went to the Art Gallery of WA.  It was in a lovely precinct, with the Gallery, modern art gallery and library all close by.

And Perth skyline.  You know you are in WA when all the buildings have the name of a mining company at the top.  South 32, Rio Tinto, BHP etc 

Tonight we had a welcome dinner with 78 other people on the tour.  We are divided into 3 groups, and there are 3 buses.  We have seen some familiar faces already.   

One hotel staff member commented that it was good to see a tour group again.  COVID had meant they only had people come in ones or two or small groups.  This was their first tour group of 2023.  The eclipse was well timed.

COVID-wise, this is the riskiest activity we have done for a while!  We shall see......
