Port Augusta

This was only the second time we have driven into South Australia.  Driving into Queensland or Victoria is a bit ho-hum, but this merits a pic!

And the warning about bringing in fresh fruit and veg is close behind.

And they check.  My dried fruit and nuts were ok.

We had morning tea at Renmark.  All we could talk about were the toilets in the middle of the street, surrounded by roses and architecturally designed!  Usually,  post- toilet stories have been confined to our travels in China.  (But to be fair, this too is changing).  Anyhow, here are the Renmark pics...

We had lunch at Burra - a hidden gem!  A former copper mine, now a tourist attraction with a good cafe for lunch.  And served by a man from Hyderabad.  (I haven't been there).

And a lovely tree - one of many - by the side of the road.
